About this course
The SSI Extended Range Nitrox program is a thorough introduction to the concepts, techniques, and procedures required for decompression diving with nitrox. It can be taken as a stand-alone program or as a stepping-stone toward becoming an SSI Extended Range Trimix diver, and it provides the foundational skills that underpin all future technical programs.
Using either a sidemount or twinset configuration, the course prepares you to plan and conduct limited decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters. It also teaches the techniques and procedures for using breathing gases up to 100% oxygen for decompression.
